Your getting better & better man, sure its simplistic, sure some people would say 'this would only take me 5 minutes omgomg!!1!', i dont care if somebody thinks they can do it quickly just because it seems more minimal than all this fancy stuff posted on DA all the time, you did a damn fantastic job nailing minimalism with incredible detail, its a joy & a pleasure to view all at the same time; Wisps of heavenly light shining on ethereal planets. Bryan, its damn sweet, Really, keep up the great work.
I just LOVE the lighting.. The light strands with those stars & such remind me of something Gary Tonge, Greg Martin, or Kamjar Fadai would do. Its excellent. The planets have great depth too, although the tiny one at the bottom of the screen is a little sharp, & i think the one in the distance needs more luminensce so it still looks solid just in the distance, But Bryan you are doing a good job, keep at it!
thanks for the meaty comment man ya i like to keep things simple when it comes to space are as for the brush work its the best i could do with my mouse thanks alot mate
Only a few issues: planet lighting's a little innacurate, light wouldn't extend so far down the sides. City lights are good but stop halfway down the planet - the darker side has no city lights at all! Dimmed planet... well, this effect kind of works, though I think I'd prefer to see it bright. Space has no obscuring matter in it. The moon/planet below the large one :devj4m3b0nd: already covered.
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
